2015 Tony Awards Nominations


This morning, Tuesday, April 28, Mary- Louise Parker and Bruce Willis announced the 2015 Tony Award Nominations live from the Paramount Hotel's Diamond Horseshoe in New York City. Parker, who is a Tony, Emmy and Golden Globe Award winner, will star in Heisenberg by Simon Stephens Off-Broadway at Manhattan Theatre Club beginning in May. Willis is set to make this Broadway debut this fall in Misery, a new stage adaptation by William Goldman of the acclaimed Stephen King novel.

Productions that opened during the 2014 - 2015 Broadway Season on or before the April 23 cut-off date are eligible for Tony Awards this year. The 69th Annual Tony Awards, presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing,  will take place on June 7 at Radio City Music Hall.  The ceremony will be broadcast on CBS at 8/7c.

Drama Desk Awards 2014 -2015 Nominees


Drama Desk winners Judith Light (The Assembled Parties) and Jessie Mueller (Beautiful — The Carole King Musical) presented the 2014-2015 Drama Desk Awards nominations today live from 54 Below.  
The Drama Desk Awards are presented annually to honor outstanding achievement by professional theater artists on Broadway, off-Broadway, and off-off-Broadway. Winners are decided by theater critics, journalists, editors, and publishers covering theater.

Billboard Music Awards 2015 Nominees


The finalists for the 2015 Billboard Music Awards were announced this morning (April 7), with five major categories announced on Good Morning America.  Taylor Swift took home the most nominations with 14  entries in 13 categories, followed by Sam Smith who is nominated 13 times, Iggy Azalea with 12 and Meghan Trainor with 9.
